Well, there is still a lot of work ahead, but I'm pleased to say that I have finished 4 of my 8 questions for my preliminary exams. At least I'm finished with going up to the department to write for two hours at at time. Now, there's just three weeks of work left to finish the final four take-home questions; that's about 100 pages of writing -- easy to do ;).
At least the bulletin board keeps looking better and better. - ajb
