On our second day in Paris we managed to sleep in...what a wonderful treat! This is the front of our hotel building.
One thing I have missed is my two cups of coffee in the morning. For and American coffee drinker, the coffee pictured below is just not enough to get the day going.
So, I was delighted when Ashley showed me a little diner called Breakfast in America that offers bottomless cups of coffee and traditional American breakfast food. We went both mornings we were in Paris. On our way, we stopped to take some photos.

The diner -

After breakfast we set off for Notre Dame.
We saw a postcard and decided to recreate it...
While at the cathedral we sat down and enjoyed the "bird man" (see prior post). After Notre Dame we traversed down the river. This area, right by the river, reminded Ashley of the blue umbrellas at the beach.
A free concert by the river...
We walked around the Louvre next - such a wonderful building! The Jardin de Tuiliries was a nice walk as well and leads to the Champs de Elysees. Stands for the sponsors of the Tour lined the street...couldn't talk Ashley into staying for yet another stage. The Arc de Triomphe was our last stop of the day. That night we ate dinner at a nice Japanese restaurant with a view of Notre Dame. A very full day but worth it...
