How many is too many?

I recently got to visit with one of my dearest friends (she'll remain nameless for this post) and during our visit we started talking about shoes. Specifically, how many we both have. So, we decided to get out all of her shoes and count ...


The total? 36. Now that included everything ... flip-flops, slippers, running shoes, her wedding shoes (the fantastic purple ones in the front of the photo), ones leftover from high school ... everything she has. Sound like a crazy number? It got me thinking ... how many shoes do we all really have? Do we wear all of them? Keep them "just in case"? Can't part with them because of the memories?

So here's my latest "survey" question for you ... How many shoes do you have? Any favorites you just can't part with?
