A Dream or a Premonition?

The other morning I awoke, after having an interesting dream, thinking we were having a girl named Ellenomobo. We were going to call her "Ellen" for short ...

In the dream, I rushed Ashley to the hospital around 8 p.m., and she stayed in labor for a few hours. She was pushing, and I said "I'm tired." Ashley replied, "That's OK honey, go lie down and rest." So I did. I slept while she gave birth to our child. Sometime in the middle of the night Ashley cuddled up next to me on the extra hospital bed in our room, quite rested for just having finished childbirth. I asked her if it was a girl or a boy. "It's a girl," she replied, "and her name is Ellenomobo." "That's sweet," I replied. Then we slept.

The next morning I woke up and started to get nervous about our child. Where was she? Why had I not seen her? So, I woke up Ashley, and we went searching for Ellen. On our search, I realized that Ellenomobo was quite an unusual name and then refused to name our child something so odd. We argued a while (apparently Ashley REALLY liked that name) then settled on Katherine.

We found Katherine in the nursery (after picking up a handful of babies and saying "Nope, not ours."). She was the most beautiful little girl ... she even talked! How wonderful!

Then I woke up, worried but settled that it was just a dream. The question now becomes ... Is it a girl or a boy? If the former, do we name her Ellen? or Katherine? Well, stay tuned to find out.
