Yep, Eden came down with her first cold on Friday. She now has a really runny nose and watery eyes. Thankfully, she has yet to notice. I guess almost 8 months (she's 8 months old on Thursday) without a cold is pretty good.
So, what can we do to help the little booger (bad pun intended) out? Anything that can help this along and/or keep her from feeling really bad? Things to look out for to indicate it's not "just a cold"?
Just wanted the help of all you smart mommies and daddies out there.
thanks,
ashley

8 months without a cold is VERY impressive! the little noses saline drops and the hospital aspirator were very effective for us. our dr. instructed us to squirt the saline up one nostril, then suction out the other one and then switch. do this before mealtimes and she should be able to breathe much better!
I agree - the aspirator and saline drops are a good way to go. Also, if she wakes up in the night and is really congested, I would go into the bathroom, close the door, and turn the shower on full blast. The steam helps them breath and calm down.
Oh, and invest in a decent humidifier. (We bought a cheap one first - what a waste of money!)
I'm just in shock thinking that Eden is 8 months! Wow. Hope she feels better real soon.
