This past week started with a nice surprise. Jennie and Ashley plotted a date night - Wesley and Jennie came over to watch Eden while Ashley and I got to go out for a nice celebration dinner (I officially deposited the dissertation with the Graduate School ... I'm officially Dr. Bodie).
Eden had fun. The report was that she talked nearly the entire time!
When we got home, Eden told us all about her fun times with the Rosier family...
Apparently, all that talking produces lots of drool. Giving her a bath has become less of an option and more of a necessity these days. Luckily, she has started to enjoy bathtime - and she really enjoys some all-too-important Mommytime after the bath.
A day later, Eden got a SUPER-COOL gift in the mail. Apparently, there is a store named Eden in Iowa. A friend of ours sent us a sampling of things with her name on it. Thank you, Lindsay!!!
Eden especially liked Mom's new shirt.
Then, on Wednesday, we walked a few blocks up the 9th street hill to Kristi's apartment for a birthday party for Lisa Hanasono.
Eden already knows the words to the Happy Birthday song ... go figure!
And on Saturday evening, Brad and Mandy came for a visit. Mandy ... I mean Dr. Holmstrom ... just finished her dissertation a few days ago. Eden was glad to finally meet the both of them.
She was pleasantly surprised by the cute dress, too.
Overall, we had a good week. The week was also marked by Eden laughing for the first time. We're looking forward to more stepping stones in the coming weeks ...
