i got this down

Since she could sit up by herself, we've been trying to get Eden to hold her own bottle, to feed herself. The success of this endeavor has been questionable. Sometimes she holds her bottle. Other times, she clumsily drops it only to look down to the ground then up at you as if to say, "Well. What did you expect?"
On Saturday, I had just finished feeding Eden some lunch. Then, she did the sign for milk; so, I fixed a bottle. When I handed it to her it was like she had been holding bottles for a living for 40+ years ...

Of course, she had to show just how good she is at this bottle holding gig ... "Look Dad, no feet!"

Although we have been attempting to slowly phase out the bottle by introducing a sippy-cup for a few months now, she has never really been that "into it." Well, there was something in the air on Saturday. After her bottle, she grabbed the cup, put it to her mouth, and drank several sips of water. Go figure!

Next challenge ... getting that spoon in her mouth on a more consistent basis ... photos of that to come.
