mama, mama, mama ...

Last night, Eden cried in her sleep a few different times. Around 10 and 11:30, she cried out and within a minute was back asleep, actually she didn't really wake up. As I was finally crawling into bed around 12:45, she started to cry again but this time she sounded a bit different. And, after a few seconds, her cries turned to babbles and then to distinctive sounds ... "Mama, mama, mama ..."

I was impressed and excited and, well, just thrilled that she really sounded like she was talking and she was saying my name. So, of course, I hopped out of bed, let Graham continue sleeping, and went in to comfort her. There she was, sitting up in the bed looking as if she was just waiting for me to walk in. Poor thing has had an off-and-on fever since Sunday (thankfully just a low one now) and has had a new tooth come through in the past few days as well. Guess I should get ready for more calls in the night - they sound so sweet.

I can't wait for those words, either. Your heart must have been so full. Bless that little one! Life sounds like it is going well and I love seeing all the fun pictures (and Ashley creations).

I'm so jealous!!!!! Bo STILL hasn't really said ma ma...he'll do it when he is frustrated and wants something or wants out of the stroller, but not like a real "ma ma"...I keep waiting though!
