Since deciding to keep the stroller, I (Ashley) have taken Eden out on numerous walks around the neighborhood and am totally happy with the purchase. Eden seems to love her stroller, too. She has been perfectly content sitting with her head back on the stroller, looking around, not straining to sit up more. The canopy extension on the front has put the shade just below her shoulders most of the time. It's been super easy to push around, open up (even while holding Eden), and close back up. And, while the cupholder seems to only hold a skinny water bottle, I guess that's just going to make me healthier anyway. Other than the handles being a bit high for me, it's great.
My true love for this stroller came about yesterday morning. I could tell Eden was tired but she just did not want to take a nap in her bed. So, we went back in the den, and she started pointing and "asking" to go outside. I told her we'd go for a walk, but since she didn't understand the "I just need to get my shoes from the other room first" statement, she started screaming her head off and crying when I turned away from the door and walked with her to the bedroom. [[I found out today that her unusual fussiness yesterday was likely the result of her not feeling so well. She woke up with a temp of 103 today! I was a little freaked. But after talking to the nurse and giving medicine, her temp has been going down steadily, and she has been in a fairly good mood. I just pray she'll be feeling all better soon. So, back to the story ...]] Needless to say I was wary about how the walk might actually go. She was crying at first, but as soon as I opened the front door, she was better.
I thought I'd try the recline ... no protests from E. By the time we got across the street to start our walk, she was out.
Slept that way in her cute "Fable & Ever" sleeper and ballet socks for the entire walk, all stretched out nice and comfy. Seems like my little bout of crazy obsession may have paid off. Well, at least in my mind it has, and that's all that matters, right? Right.
