Eden's last day at PDO

Since we are headed out of town tomorrow, today was Eden's last day at PDO for the year (it's gone by so quickly!). On the way in this morning, I reminded her that she needed to play extra hard and be really sweet since it was her last day with her teachers, Ms. Marie and Ms. Dolores, and all her friends.
When I picked her up this afternoon, I found out that she must have been paying attention.
Ms. Marie and Ms. Dolores were happy to report that Eden showed off her new walking skills for them by walking across the big rug in her room. They said she stood up next to one of the swings, steadied herself, then let go and walked across to the other side. They were certain that she just wanted to show them what she could do since it was her last day with them. And you know what, Eden seems to understand way more than we give her credit for so I dont' doubt their assesment of the situation.
On our way out, we stopped by the big bulletin board and Marie gave me Eden's most recent artwork - she was sure I'd want to keep it. Of course, she was right. It now has a proper place of importance on the fridge ...
Before we left Ms. Marie and Ms. Dolores told me what a joy it was to have "sweet Eden" in their room this year. Now maybe they say that to all the babies, but it seemed heartfelt and a great description of our little girl's personality over her first year, especially when she's socializing. I really can't believe her first year of PDO is over so soon!
We have some posts scheduled to go up over the next few days, but they may be more spread out after that while we're travelling. We're looking forward to seeing friends and family in the next few weeks!
take care, ashley
