"So I can give Eden a tennis ball."
"Interesting, " I thought.
Well, not only was she interested, but she has grown quite fond of that ball.
And she has invented a new game she calls "Ball through slat in chair." Hey, she's 10 months.

Then, of course, there is the fun of trying to fit it into things that it clearly (by our hindsighted view) cannot fit into. [Sidenote: She has a small, wooden egg that fits quite nicely. Perhaps she is testing all things round for their ability to fit into her bottle top.]

In fact, the runner up for her heart is the game "Egg in bottle top."

This is her playing while simultaneously saying, "No, Daddy, I don't want my hood on!"

Back to the ball. While she throws it, she has not quite understood the fact that the person to whom she throws it generally will return it. So, she rears back and chunks the ball while simultaneously hitting the ground crawling and yelling "Ahhehah" then shooting forward in the direction of the throw. Hopefully we can get a video of that pricelessness soon.

That girl can do the splits — both ways!
As you know, we are ALL about the balls around here. We have a million of 'em. Tennis balls are fun, but I find they get a bit grimy once the kids get older and can take them outside, eat with them, bathe with them, etc. I like raquetballs better because you can stick them in the top rack of the dishwasher. :) (The boys like them, too, because they bounce so well!)
Maren, you're brilliant!!!!
That picture of her trying to get her hood off made me laugh...Riley does that move every time we put a hood on him and looks *just* like that.
