my super fun weekend

While we were in SC for the wedding, Eden was in Jackson having fun with her Granddaddy and Granmommy-CC. We dropped her off on Friday morning on our way out of Mobile. She was so excited to see her Grandmommy and Granddaddy that she squealed when she saw them and then waved bye-bye to us without another thought. A few hours later, Eden was eating Chick-Fil-A and having a blast in their play yard. Good strategy, too. They reported that she slept for the first two hours of their drive to Jackson.
So good that we did the same thing coming back from Jackson to BR ...

We only have these pics of E on the drive home from her super fun weekend. Guess she was truly worn out from all the fun.

When we got to Jackson to pick up E, we got the full scoop - how she went swimming and helped in the garden, how she did great in the nursery (twice), and how both Chip and Christy were able to put her to sleep with no problems. Seriously, they did her nighttime routine, read some books, then asked her if she was ready to go to bed. Both times she just walked over to her crib and then waved bye-bye! Ashley's Mom asked, "What have you done to this baby?" Guess the girl likes routine.

We were also told how Eden was "so smart" and that we were doing "such a good job with her." Chip was all smiles when he was telling us how you can "just tell her where to go or what to do, and she does it. I mean, you say 'Go to the stairs.' and she just goes to the stairs. You say 'Where is your tennis ball,' and she goes and gets her tennis ball ... not her football." Indeed, she has certainly come a long way in understanding what we are saying. She is also getting better with her signs and starting to say more words (more is the most recent). She sure has come a long way! Here she is in January when we first got her car seat ...

... and on the way home from Jackson ...

Wow!! Thank you Chip and Christy for making sure Eden had a "super-fun" weekend and for giving us some relaxing time away.
