Congratulations, Dr. Bodie!

One of my favorite memories of my sister (Ashley), to whom this post refers, is of her occupational aspirations. When she was 6 or so, she proclaimed what she wanted to do when she grew up - deliver pizzas on horseback. A few years later, she decided that she'd rather work on horses than deliver pizza on them ... that dream was realized two weekends ago as she walked proudly across the Ross University stage to grab her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

After 4 arduous years at Auburn University followed by 3 years on St. Kitts and a year at Louisiana State University, she's finally Dr. Bodie!

Before we saw her graduate, we did some shopping...

and some sightseeing...

including the Statue of Liberty

and the fake Statue of Liberty -

Of course, Sarah couldn't resist buying a Liberty hat (which was her boyfriend Robbie's gift).

After graduation, we all went out for a nice dinner (Mexican). The waiter was persuaded to bring out really large hats for the graduates!

Then others had to wear them, too.

I could not be more proud of her! She has certainly worked hard to accomplish her life-long dream of working with horses. Congratulations, indeed, Dr. Bodie!

I thought Sarah had learned after all these years there are some photos you do not send to certain people. Graham for one and Uncle Bob the other. Love to all. Nona
