Maren, Spencer, & Joshie meet Eden

Some of our earliest (and fondest) memories in Lafayette involve the Madsen Family. At that time, this included Lance, Maren, and Spencer (who was not yet crawling). Lance and I hit it off right away ... he was one of four graduate students (the others being John Duckworth, Elizabeth Munz, and yours truly) who brought their lunch to orientation. Frugality breeds friendship, I suppose. (click here for another version of this story)

We used to spend the weekends at various households, playing games and having fun. So, it was wonderful that Maren and the Madsen youngins got to come over the other day and meet our little Eden.

Spencer and Joshie (the new addition since our Lafayette arrival) were enthralled ... of course what boy won't be?

That is, until they found Eden's new Baby Einstein toy ... I read somewhere that attention span (in minutes) is directly proportional to age - proved to be true as Joshie seemed to get bored after about 1 minute and Spencer around 4.

Maren, you certainly look comfy holding a girl ...
