Home sweet home.

So we did it!!! We found a place to live in Baton Rouge! It's a cute 2 BR/1 Bath house, built in 1925 and recently rennovated. We had help from our friends Jennifer and David who previewed the place for us, and Ashley's parents were nice enough to take the 3 hour drive from Jackson and take pictures and a video for us.

The Den (or what Yankees call the living room).

This will be Eden's nursery ...

Our real wood (and working) fireplace ...

The Dining Room ...

To our good friends, Jennifer and David, who helped secure this little jewel for us ....
THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!

They even sent us a care package when they found out we were coming to live in their city ...

It included this cute little outfit for Eden.

Ashley kept trying it on Eden to see if it would fit (for over a month - seriously, at least once every 3 days), and it finally does. Eden is just about getting into her 0-3 month clothes at her 3 month birthday.

When Jennifer originally sent the package, part of it included a pass-it-forward gift. Ashley was 1 of the first 3 people to post a comment to one of Jennifer's blog posts and got these great treats from Jennifer's kitchen as a result (check out Jennifer's cooking blog here, Weekly Dish).

P.S. Jennifer, we're out of treats :)

The deal was that Ashley was supposed to make the same offer on our blog. She meant to but got a little distracted a few weeks later when Eden arrived. So, the first 3 people to reply to this post will get some type of fun treat from us.

I love seeing the photos of your house! It looks adorable and the perfect place for little Miss Eden to learn to walk and talk and all sorts of other fun things.

I LOVE the house! It's so cute and has such personality. Seriously, I wish we had a house like that. (But all the homes in Lafayette with 'personality' that we looked at seemed to be in neighborhoods with a little too much personality, if you know what I mean.

Anyways, I'm so happy for you!
