One last Hoorah

As friends go, we've made some good ones during our time in Lafayette. These good friends got together this past weekend for one last hoorah with our original crew before Ashley, Eden, and I move to Baton Rouge. Thank you, Maren and Lance, for hosting such a great cookout. As always, Maren, the food was delicious! Although several things have changed since we first met (namely marriage and babies), it's like old times when we get together. We have conversations about philosophy, the origin of the universe, and ... oh, who am I kidding; I think the most intellectual thing we discussed was whether the Indiana Jones movie was "realisitic" - and NO, it probably wasn't but have you seen the other ones? (Sorry, John and Maura, had to get one more of those in there before putting it to rest).

Here are some photos of the gang ... for others, click here.

Spencer now has a little brother (Joshie) to pick on ... he didn't belive me when I said I was bigger and stronger ... :)

Remember when you had to wait to see a picture? Spencer doesn't! How amazing is technology! What can I say, I'm a faithful member of the AV club ...

Yes, Maren, you look quite comfortable with a girl.
The Boyle-Duckworth parenting pose ... you guys need to get a blog before we'll allow you to have children.
Although you might be surprised to hear this, Eden is not always a happy-camper, but she is still cute when she's not so happy. Thankfully, her crying usually means we need to fix something -- generally just a bit of crying if she's hungry, needs to burp, is about to fall asleep, wants to sit in a different position, etc. For this one, John was in the middle of feeding Eden a bottle, and she was ready to have it back!

We won't miss the cold winters here in Indiana, and we won't miss being poor - but we sure will miss our friends (who surprisingly look better making funny faces at the camera). Here's to keeping in touch by blogging ... and to a reunion in Baton Rouge - come visit us!
