Wednesday evening, after Ashley got home from campus, we were all sitting on the porch enjoying what may be the last bit of relatively cool weather. Eden begain pointing and stretching in the direction of our across-the-street neighbors. We thought, can she really see across the median and decide she needs to go over there? The answer - yes. She wanted to swing.
But that's not the point of this post.
When we got across the street and she had enjoyed the swing for long enough, she wanted down. So, I took her out and put her on the ground ... standing up. Things looked promising.
Wednesday night was a different story. While we were hanging out in the neighbors' yard, she actually seemed to want to walk around ...
So, she's almost there and able to start trying to walk on her own. Should we want it? Of course. But, I guess both of us are also thinking about how much more difficult it will inevitably be to keep up with her ... sigh ... and enjoying our little crawler as long as we can.

Tomorrow is the CGSA picnic--we so miss having you all here for those types of events!
Hugs to Eden!
