So Eden is now 16 months. Is it time Ashley and I had an official date? One where you get a babysitter? Indeed.
Now we know that we went out on our anniversary while in Jackson. And, Eden has stayed with her Granmommy and Granddady when we went to NCA and while we went to a wedding in Montgomery. But, this was our first "pay the babysitter to read Eden books and put her to bed and then read a chick lit book on our couch for a few hours" date.
Miss Kellie came to put Eden to bed (i.e., read her books and pretend to drink her milk so Eden would drink her milk before bed). Eden did quite well (or we were told). We had a running bet as to whether Eden went right to bed or stayed up way too late and had a melt down. Well, not really a bet because we both thought the former, but it was fun to speculate.
We went to see Away We Go (pretty appropriate given how we felt as we drove away from the house and were walking around Perkins Rowe without a stroller).
Here is the front of the theatre. Fancy, no?
Of course Ashley had to get a picture of the inside of the theatre so we had proof that we actually went. I told her it was illegal, but that did not stop her. Please don't alert the authorities.
We were gone for about 3 hours. It felt much longer. Not because we missed Eden or we longed to be back home but simply because it was alone time. And nice.
