fun times at nonna & big daddy's

The first Sunday of our trip, we rolled into Mobile seperately and reunited as a family under the influence of bubbles ...

Of course, other round things were also influencing - take for instance this beach ball (one of Eden's favorites). Initially she simply picked it up and threw it then came running after it. That was fun, sure. But more fun was watching her imitate me blowing it up. She would stick her mouth on it and blow only to find out that it sure did make a funny noise ... she was cracking herself up for a little while.

On Monday, my mom took the day off of work and had a loaf of white bread ready ...

As you can imagine, the ducks quickly dispersed when Eden began yelling at the top of her lungs "Aaaahhhhh ..." while running toward them. To the human eye, she is not menacing at all. To the duck, a scary thing indeed.

The ducks live in Mobile's Municipal Park which is also home to several play areas that struck Eden's fancy.

After 20 minutes of playing in 95 degree heat (at 9:00 in the morning, mind you), it was time to head home for a nap. Eden woke up in a great mood and headed straight for the white cabinets in my parents' den. That's where she found her newest accessory ...

There are also lots of books in that cabinet. Nona obliged and read several.
Yes, fun times were had by all at Nona an Big Daddy's. We finished off the day with a delicious meal and a visit from a good friend of mine, Lynn. The following day broght more fun with Eden's friends Charolotte and Arthur, but more about that later.
