Before we sat down for dinner, we decided to open presents ... mainly because it was getting close to Eden's bedtime, and we wanted to make sure my dad (who was on call the next day) got to see her open her presents. My little sister, Sarah, has always played Santa, handing out presents ... this year, she sought help from her boyfriend Robbie who obliged her excitement of setting everyone's presents out in nice, neat stacks.
As with our little family Christmas, Eden was very much interested in the wrapping that her presents came in, but we know someday she'll look back at these photos and love the gifts she received. We also really appreciate how thoughtful everyone was with Eden's gifts.
She got a silver cup from her Aunt Ashley (who we missed dearly this year) ...
... a play center from Nona and Big Daddy (which she loves to bounce to while sitting in front of it) ...
... and several other presents (we stopped taking pictures because her reactions were so priceless Ashley didn't want to be viewing it from behind a camera). Right on cue (at 6:30), it was bathtime. Eden was in bed by 7:30, and we enjoyed a wonderful Christmas meal with the family. Many of us stuffed ourselves, then ate more. Bedtime was early for us, too.
