End of Semester Review: My first tailgate

On Saturday, November 8, Nick Saban made his triumphant return to Tiger Stadium. Eden did not want to miss that for anything! We started walking toward campus around 10 a.m. and made it to the tailgate around 11:00.

We have some family friends who live in Baton Rouge (Jim and Sandra King who were gracious enough to let us live in their house while our power was out during Gustav). Although they're Alabama fans, we still love them!

Who knew tailgating was such an energy drainer?

Luckily, I had been offered 2 faculty tickets for the game. Since Eden counts as a person as far as LSU Athletics are concerned, we decided I'd take someone to the game while Ashley and Eden enjoyed the game from home after the tailgate. Luckily, Adam King was in from out of town for the game (seriously, Saban's return was a HUGE deal - he came in from Washington state).

After the tailgate and walking to the stadium, Ashley and Eden made the 2 mile walk with the jogging stroller back through campus and some neighborhoods to our house. Along the way, Eden kept herself entertained with the arduous task of trying to remove her socks so she could eat them.
