A few hours later, Sydney joined the party. Of course the girls only sat side by side for a split second, and this was the best photo Ashley said she could get without "manufacturing" a photo ... go figure.
After a mid-morning/early-afternoon nap, we were off to see Kristal and James and their beautiful baby girl, Gabriella, as they were packing up their final things before their move to Chicago. Ashley thinks Eden looks like such a big girl in these photos, maybe it's little Ella that makes E look so grown up.
Then, that night Joshua and Elizabeth hosted a get-together with the rest of the original Purdue gang who could not join us in Chicago (The Madsens had a great excuse though. Maren was due to give birth to their third child on Monday. He actually made his grand entrance the day after we left town!). It's amazing how fast kids grow! Joshie is now a little boy, and Spencer is about to start kindergarden! How time flies.

Contrary to Louisiana, the weather (and lack of mosquitos) in Indiana permits dinner outside. It works especially well with a child who enjoys throwing food.

At what age are children "okay" with sharing? Although they got along and played well together (um, in the same space) for the lion's share of the time, there were a few times that either Eden or Sydney just had to have something that the other had. Tug-a-war between babies ... a new yard game?

Getting all the kids to pose for a picture? It can be done ... almost ...
Ashley and I were also quite excited when Michael and Ethan got to come over for a visit. We have not seen the Pryess family since we left, so catching up was fun (although we certainly missed you Stacey!).

Overall, day two was a success. Eden was happy to be back in her birth state, and her parents were grateful to see old friends.
