May Travels: Meeting Vivian & Gavin

On day two in Indiana, we already felt that we had been in Indiana way too long not to have met the twins, Vivian and Gavin Rosier. So, although we had dinner plans and were in a bit of a rush to make them, we decided to stop by for a quick peek. Since Eden is considered a "germ factory" in the eyes of pediatricians dealing with preemies (we had the same pediatrician and the advice was the same ... no kids around for at least a month), she stayed outside while Ashley and I got to go in and take a look at the two newest miracles.

This was the Mother's Day Card the NICU staff gave to Jennie, at the request of Vivian and Gavin of course.
Then, the next day, Elizabeth was kind enough to watch Eden while Ashley and I had an extended visit.
All Wes and Jennie had to do was ask, "Does anyone want to feed one?" Without hesitation, we both pounced ... "YES!" Ashley picked up Gavin before you could say "Here's the bottle." That left me to feed Vivian and reflect on how specical it was to hold such a precious little life.

The twins are perfect. I know that doctors say this about babies all the time, but I think their doctor is right. The parents are doing well, too. It's amazing how much a person's face can give away about how s/he is feeling and what s/he is thinking about life. Both Wesley and Jennie had a glow about them that could only be attributed to one thing ... true love ... we're so happy for you guys!!!
