"Okay, sugar. See the pretty flowers?"
Eden's response ... Sniff. Pull. Bite. Yum!
"Give the flower to Grandaddy."
She has also gotten quite good playing peek-a-boo ...

... and at feeding other people food that they would have otherwise fed themselves. This particular meal was a mix of fruit and yogurt. Not really something that Chip would normally eat with his hands. But, again, who can say no to their first grandchild? Plus, it sure is fun to see Eden's face when she is feeding you and you are making faces that signal how good the meal is .. priceless, indeed. Of course, the meal usually requires several extra napkins and perhaps an extra shower, but well worth it.

So by this point, we had taken Eden to the MEA clinic and determined that it was not a smart idea to take her to Chicago on planes and in airports with potentially hundreds of infectious germs. We called the airline to change Ashley's itinerary and figured out what to pack in my suitcase and what Ashley would bring with her to Indiana five days later ... but I'm getting ahead of myself ... first, Ashley and Eden had to miss me!
