It was also special since Eden got to wear a new dress. And this is no ordinary dress. It is a special dress. No, it doesn't speak or lay golden eggs. It did, however, come from Eden's Great Aunt Beverly. Beverly recently retired from her post as a librarian near DC. Ashley just knew that this is what Eden would have picked out if she could just reach the clothes in the closet. When we told her that Eden had worn her dress to the library, she was quite excited. Glad Eden got to wear the dress for something so appropriate.
Ashley reports that Eden was extremely excited even before she got into the children's section. Eden could see the stuffed animals and tons of fun stuff in the children's portion of the library through the wall of windows while Ashley was trying to fill out paperwork for their library cards. Eden was squirming just to get in there.
Once inside, Eden had a grand time exploring all the books and checking out the posters ...
She also caught Ashley off guard when Eden started barking, that is until Ashley looked up and saw all of the dogs adorning the book shelves ...
and she loved the rocking chairs and bin of board books in the toddler section ...
Of course, Eden wasn't afraid to go off and explore on her own (with Ashley following close behind) ...
Once in the car, Eden celebrated her outing by reading a book ... about pigs. She read the book for the first 5 minutes of their drive home, definitely a successful trip!
p.s. putting your finger on your nose and scrunching it up is the sign for pig. Eden and I learned it that morning, and Ashley kept wondering why she was doing that. So smart!
